“We have been given a responsibility and a mandate to restore normalcy in Nandigram badly affected by political strife and violence. We would ensure that normalcy returns to the area and there is no fear among the people”, N R Das, additional Director General of CRPF, said in Nandigram.

Das, who visited different interior areas of Nandigram that had witnessed violence, said: “CRPF is a neutral force and we will work accordingly”.
