Body recovered
The Rander police recovered the body of an unidentified person in the Adajan area of the city late on Sunday night. According to the police, the body was found near the Adajan Char Rasta and has been sent to the New Civil Hospital for further examinations. A case of accidental death under section 174 of the CrPC has been registered at the Rander police station and is being investigated.

Fatal fall
One Mangilal Dhanabhai Vanjhara, a 30-year-old labourer, died on Sunday in the Maskati Hospital where he was admitted with head injuries on Sunday evening, a case registered at the Salabatpura police station said. Vanjhara was working at the construction site of an apartment, being built behind Kinnary Cinema, when he slipped and fell 15 feet below, sustaining head injuries, the police added. According to the doctors, serious head injuries caused his death. A case under CrPC 174 has been registered at the police station and is being investigated.

Assaulted
The Salabatpura police have registered cases of rioting and assaulting against one Lalo and three other unidentified people. Divyesh Maskatwala, a resident of Vachli Sheri, Salabatpura, lodged a complaint stating that he was intercepted by four people, led by Lalo, on Sunday night, and assaulted with sticks. Maskatwala sustained serious injuries and a fractured arm, the police said. According to the complainant, old enmity was the reason behind the attack. A case has been registered under different sections of the IPC and is bing investigated.
