The body of Jang Bahadur, who got trapped inside the pharmaceutical godown in Sector 26 when it went up in flames, was recovered today. According to sources, the body was cremated after the post mortem examination was conducted.

Woman electrocuted
A resident of Sector 25, Khumhar Colony, died after being electrocuted. According to sources, the deceased has been identified as Pushpa.

Cyclist killed
A 14-year-old cyclist died while on his way to hospital after being hit by an unidentified truck near Government High School, Maloya. According to sources, the deceased has been identified as Mewa Ram alias Tony of district Ropar. The trucker managed to escape. The police have registered a case.

Car stolen
The theft of a Maruti Van from the Sector 17 parking was reported to the local police by Dalip Tandon of Sector 20. According to sources, a case has been registered while the police are investigating the matter.
