Woman alleges harassment by in-laws
A resident of Sector 40, Arpna has lodged a complaint with the police that she was being harassed by her husband, Navneesh Uttam, father-in-law Soni Parkash and mother-in-law Rani Uttam to bring more dowry. Police sources say that all the accused are residents of Jammu. A case has been registered and the police are investigating.

One hurt in mishap
A pedestrian, Harinder Singh, a resident of Sector 20, was injured after he was hit by a car bearing a Punjab registration number near the local bus stop. Police sources say that the car sped away after the incident. The injured has been admitted to the Sector 32 government hospital. A case has been registered and police are investigating into the matter.

Woman assaulted
A resident of Mauli Jagran, Bimla, has reported to the police that she was assaulted by one Sabariya and his son, Sanju, both residents of the same colony over a minor issue. Police have registered a case and the further investigations are on.

Car stolen
A Punjab University lecturer, Baljit Singh, has complained that his white Maruti car (number CH-01-C-7654) has been stolen from the Punjab University campus last night.
