Labourer killed in road mishap
One labourer died while three labourers received injuries when a truck loaded with sand on which they were travelling turned turtle at Sharnagpur barrier near Dhanas. The labourer who died on the spot has been identified as Jhari Lal Mandal from Bihar. The truck (CH01-Q-9277) has been impounded while a case under Sections 279 and 304-A of IPC was registered against the driver at the Sector 11 police station. The driver, however, fled from the accident site. The police attributed the failure of the break as the cause of the accident.

Cyclist killed in road mishap
Arjun Dev, a cyclist was hit by a truck near the Sector 11 and 12 crossing yesterday. The truck driver absconded after hitting the cyclist. The truck number was reported to be 403 A – 0132. Arjun Dev who hails from Bihar succumbed to his injuries at the PGI. A case has been registered under Section 279 and 304-A of the Indian Penal code.
