HC moves Personal Point case to new courtThe Delhi High Court today transferred the Personal Point triple murder case to the court of Additional Sessions Judge N.K. Gupta following a petition from the main accused charging the court with bias.It has ordered the designated court to conduct the trial on a day-to-day basis. Justice J.B. Goyal ordered that the case be transferred from Additional Sessions Judge Inderjit Kaur Kochar's court.Subash Gupta, the main accused had filed the petition at the Delhi High Court after a sessions court rejected his appeal. The evidence in the case will be recorded at ASJ Kochar's court tomorrow.Justice Goyal asked the ``transferee'' court to give a progress report on the case to his court every three months. He told the police to provide protection to the witnesses in the case and said: ``Their evidence should be recorded only after such protection is provided''.Cops remanded to custodyMetropolitan Magistrate G.S. Saini today remanded two policemen to judicial custody till November 11 for the misappropriation of Rs 450, allegedly confiscated during the personal search of an accused.The bail plea moved by the counsel for head constable Shyamphul and constable Rajinder Prasad, who were posted at the Paharganj police station, was rejected by the magistrate.The two had reportedly arrested Rajesh Kumar on October 20 under the Punjab Excise Act for possession of illicit liquor. On October 29, Kumar was produced in Saini's court, where he alleged that the Rs 450 that he had with him had not been shown in the personal search memo.
