Telangana Rashtra Samiti president and Union Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao today got a reprieve as the Fifth Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court suspended the NBW issued against him till September 15. Metropolitan Magistrate M. Gandhi ordered the cancellation of the warrant against Rao, who is facing charges of cheating and criminal breach of trust.
The magistrate, however, said Rao should appear in person before the court on September 15 when the case comes up for hearing and furnish two sureties of Rs 5,000 each. Rao’s counsel D. Rami Reddy agreed to abide by the conditions. Reddy told the court that Rao had no intention of escaping the court proceedings but could not appear before the court now because of his preoccupation in New Delhi.
