Court orders post-mortem on Yadav body

The last wish of freedom fighter Chandrakala Yadav may not be fulfilled. The Rajasthan High Court on Tuesday asked the police to conduct a post-mortem on her body to find out if Yadav had been killed.

Her ‘disciple’ Ram Gopal Saini had donated her corpse for medical research as per her wishes. The HC ordered the examination after the police admitted in court that the late freedom fighter had filed complaints against Saini, alleging threat to life.

The court has also directed the local administration to conduct Yadav’s funeral with full state honours. ‘‘Since her wish is not being fulfilled, we owe her all the respect,’’ the HC said.
