The Bombay High Court on Thursday admitted former Mumbai police Chief R.S. Sharma’s plea challenging the application of MCOCA in the scam.

A division bench of Justice V.G. Palshikar and Justice P.V. Kakade on Thursday fixed February 5 as the date for the final hearing.

The court also took on record the state government’s submission that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the case would not seek his custody till then.
