MUMBAI, MAY 13: Good Counsel almost made sure of their berth in the knock-out with a thrilling 25-22 victory over Ghatkopar YMCA in the Colgate-sponsored Savio Open Sub-Junior Basketball tournament being held at the Don Bosco school, Matunga today.Counsel boys, who had defeated Chembur YMCA yesterday, need to only play Wellington YMCA `A' in the final league match which will determine the group leader.Ghatkopar YMCA were sitting pretty at 22-12 at the end of the third quarter but Counsel applied full court and allowed Ghatkopar team into their offence court on just three ocassions as they chipped away at the lead.Franco D'Mello top scored for the winners with 11 points.All the other matches were one-sided matches. Nagpada Neighbourhood House `A' trounced Mastan YMCA `B' 43-4; Agradneya Vyayamshala, who won a close match yesterday, won comfortably against Fatima 37-7.NNH's first five was too good for Mastan team, so good that NNH's second five included eight-year Musabir, who was so tiny thatthe colours virtually covered all of him.
