CHANDIGARH, July 15: Sub-Inspector Baljit Singh was allegedly roughed up by a resident of Sector 52 here. Police sources said that the sub-inspector, deployed as reserve officer, went there after getting information that some persons were quarrelling. It was here that that Jarnail Singh alias Bittu roughed him up, allegedly under the influence of liquor. A case has been registered for assaulting a public servant. However, no arrests have been made so far, as the accused is absconding, added police sources.
