MUMBAI, November 19: Mumbai bundled out Maharashtra early in the day but lost the initiative, ending on 159-6 at stumps on the second day of the Cooch-Behar (U-19) Trophy at the Elf Vengsarkar Ground, today.

Earlier, Maharashtra resuming at 226-7, added 18 runs to end their first inings score on 244.

The hosts innings was revived by a 51-run fourth wicket partnership between opener Abhijit Shetye (47) and Abhishek Jaywant (36) after the early fall of three wickets Shetye’s departure brought in Kunal More, who added 35 runs for the fifth wicket with Jaywant. However, the stand was broken by Maharashtra captain Aphale, who bowled Jaywant. More (18) too followed and it was left to Sriram Kannan (1) and Sushant Manjrekar (6) to hold fort at close.
