NAGPUR, MARCH 6: The clean sweep by the Congress-Republican Party of India alliance in Vidarbha during the Lok Sabha polls has given Congress reason to cheer. Many have demanded that the ruling BJP-Shiv Sena alliance ministers resign.

Former legislator Ashok Dhawad, reacting sharply to the electoral debacle of the BJP-Sena alliance in Vidarbha, said, “Money power and a false picture of negative development cannot win elections. The Lok Sabha polls proved this,” he said. The voters rejected the hollow promises of Guardian Minister Nitin Gadkari and elected a secular party to power. Dhawad also thanked Congress and RPI workers for “showing unmatched unity” during the polls.

Organising secretary of Nagpur city and district Congress Seva Dal Rajesh Naik demanded the Gadkari’s resignation on moral grounds.
