West Indies cricket coach Bennett King says he’s impressed with his squad’s fitness level as it prepares to face world No. 1 Australia next month.

Addressing reporters at the start of a week-long training camp in Bridgetown, King said several players were in much better shape than when he took over the squad in November.

“A lot of the people have improved their fitness from when we started, which is very encouraging,” the Australian said.

The West Indies will tour Australia in October and November for three Test matches. (Associated Press)
