CMC doctors win zonal round of pharma quiz

A three-member team of CMC&H doctors comprising Dr Prashant, Dr Jasleen and Dr Jyotika did the institution proud by winning the pre-final round of Indian Pharmacological Society (IPS) Quiz – 2008.

Teams from various colleges of Punjab and adjoining states participated in the pre-final round of quiz organised by the Departement of Pharmacology at CMC and Hospital. Dr Kanwal Masih, medical superintendent, CMC&H, inaugurated the quiz. Dr Dinesh Baydal, Professor and Head, Department of Pharmacology, who coordinated the quiz, said that a preliminary round was conducted to select eight teams for the zonal round.

The quiz conducted at the Guy Constable auditorium was an audio-visual treat. There were six rounds, all conducted with the help of multi-media, with the history round hogging the limelight. The participants appreciated the academic enrichment through this innovative quiz.

They winners will represent the zone in annual pharmacology quiz, to be held during the annual conference of IPS to be held at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, from December 18 to 20.
