CHANDIGARH, Aug 15: Three players from Chandigarh are among the ten-member Indian roller hockey men’s team which will participate in the 8th Asian roller skating championships to be held in China in October. The players were recently selected on the basis of their performance in the national camp held here at the Sector 10, Skating Rink, under the aegis of Roller Skating Federation of India (RSFI).

The RSFI had also selected ten-member women’s team. Four players from Chandigarh are in the team. The women’s camp was also held in Chandigarh.

The second camp in preparation for the Asian meet in both men’s and women’s section will also be held at Chandigarh from August 25, according to Inder Pal Singh, Adviser to the federation president.

There are six stand-by and four second stand-by selected by RSFI, in the men’s group.
