Riding on good monsoon and buoyant signals, the economy is expected to grow by more than 6 per cent. According to a survey done by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), 67 per cent of people said the economy would record more than 6 per cent growth in 2003-04. The survey found that 21 per cent felt that the economic growth would be 5.5-6.0 per cent, 8 per cent said the economy would grow 5.0-5.5 per cent and only 3 per cent felt that the growth would be less than 5 per cent in the current fiscal. Majority of respondents (61.2 per cent) expect that the growth would remain above the 6 per cent mark.
