MARGAO, NOV 2: Churchill Brothers inflicted a 5-1 defeat on Dempo Sports Club today to win the AT&T Goa Soccer League title by topping the points table. They, thus, became the first team to win the league thrice in a row.

A hat-trick by striker Marcus (41st, 61st and 81st minutes) and goals by Chibuzor (22nd min) and substitute Asif Jamal (88st min) saw a determined Churchill Brothers brushing aside the doubts as a draw or a defeat would have pushed them to the second place behind Salgaocar.

Dempo’s lone goal was scored by striker Marcelo Antonio in the 33rd minute.
