PUNE, Sept 3: Interrogations of Chhota Rajan gang members Kiran Keshav alias Bala Dhokare and Dharmesh Nitin alias Nanhu Shah have unearthed several contacts of the gang in Nepal, Mumbai, Surat and Pune.

During the course of interrogation, the duo have revealed that Shah’s Tata Sumo was used as get away vehicle in murder of former minister of Nepal Mirza Dilshaj Beg at Tanakpur, top police officials said.

The recovery of cellular phones from the two alleged members of Chhota Rajan gang arrested in Deccan Gymkhana area on August 29 is being viewed as an important clue to find out gang’s contacts, they added. The police have already started tracking down the people to whom the two gangsters had contacted up by using the cellular phones.

The police team, which arrested the duo at history-sheeter Datta Khade’s Apoorva Beauty Parlour at Pulachi Wadi, had also found three seam cards in their baggages. The police are probing into who had booked for the seam cards.

Dhokare was a suspect in the murder of a member of Amar naik gang member Boppal. He was also arrested on charges of attempting to murder Amar Naik in Mumbai. His involvement was also suspected in attempted murders of Gawli gang member Sunil Ghate, Lens Service Bar owner Prakash Shetty, owner of Sainath Bar and Amar Naik gang member Dipak Rahate. Dharmesh’s involvement is suspected in murder of a trader from Kalyan, Pravin Zunzarrao, and a case of attempted murder.
