In a game of one-upmanship, Haryana Olympic Association (HOA) president and Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) leader Abhey Singh Chauthala was ousted today and Congress MP from Kurukshetra Naveen Jindal was ’unanimously’ chosen as the new chief.

Chauthala’s ouster could be interpreted as a move by the Haryana’s ruling Congress party to wrest control of HOA.

The decision to remove Abhey, who was the lifetime president of the association, from the post was taken during the general body meeting Saturday. Former Haryana DGP M.S. Malik also ceased to be the HOA secretary.
