Car stolen from Sector 17 parking
Rajinder Kumar Sharma, a resident of Sector 46, reported to the police that his car, a white Maruti bearing registration number CHK 9864, was stolen from a parking lot in Sector 17. The police have registered a case under Section 379 of the IPC.
One held with 12 liquor bottles
The city police have arrested Raju, a resident of Kumhar colony, near Himachal Sarai, last evening, and claimed to have recovered 12 bottles of whiskey from his possession. A case under Sections 61, 1 and 14 of the IPC has been registered.
Motorcyclists hit by bus
Parsu Ram, a resident of Indira Colony in Manimajra, and Parvesh Kumar of Kajheri village were injured and admitted to the GMC Hospital in Sector 32, when their motorcycle (PB-65-6814) was hit by a CTU bus (CH-01-G-5490) near the Haryana Roadways Workshop in Industrial Area. The police have arrested the bus driver Gurjit Singh, a resident of Lakhnaur village in district Roopnagar and impounded the bus. A case under Sections 279 and 337 of the IPC has also been registered.
Manimajra resident assaulted
Dalip Singh, a resident of Mori Gate in Manimajra, was reportedly assaulted by Billa, Lalli and Kala, of Mohalla Jattan in Manimajra. The police have registered a case under Sections 323, 324 and 34 of the IPC.
Two injured in separate mishaps
Subhash Kumar, a resident of Sector 23-D, was injured when his Maruti van rammed into a tree near Khuda Lahora village, today afternoon. In another incident, Ankit, a pedestrian, was injured when he was hit by a scooter on the road dividing Sectors 10 and 11, this afternoon.
Boy hit by van near Golf Club
Rajan, a 10-year-old boy, of Kishangarh, was hit by a Maruti van CH-01-Q-3626, near the Golf Club. He was admitted to the PGI in a serious state, this morning.
