Maloya resident held with liquor

The local police arrested Kulwinder Singh, a resident of Maloya village, from a barrier in the village and recovered 24 bottles from his possession. While Ramesh of village Hallo Majra was arrested from Industrial Area Phase I, and 15 bottles of whiskey recovered from him, police sources said. Separate cases under the Excise Act have been registered against the two, it was added.

Cars stolen from Sec 18, Manimajra

Shree Pardhan, a resident of Sector 18, complained to the police that her Maruti car PB10-F-8500 was stolen from her residence on Sunday night. Harish Chander, a resident of Manimajra, complained that his Maruti car KHK 8202 was stolen from his residence. The police have registered separate cases under Section 379 of the IPC.

House burgled in Sector 37

J S Arora,a resident of Sector 37, reported to the police that his house was burgled of gold ornaments and Rs 3,500 cash.

RBI keeps repo rate unchanged at 5.5%

The Reserve Bank of India Wednesday kept the repo rate unchanged at 5.5 per cent. "MPC decides to keep monetary policy stance unchanged at 'neutral'", says RBI Governor. This is the second time that the repo rate has been kept unchanged.
