Truck driver booked
The Panchkula police have booked a case under Sections 279 and 304 A of the Indian Penal Code against a truck driver who hit a bus at the Nalagarh-Pinjore crossing. The driver, whose identity is not known, fled from the scene. An occupant of the bus, S Ganeshan, who was admitted to the PGI, succumbed to his injuries.

Complaint against rash driving
A resident of Panchkula, Ajam Jacky has filed a complaint against Raj Kumar for driving rashly and hitting his car in Sector 16, Panchkula. Sareen Pinto, who was in the car at the time of the accident, received injuries. Raj Kumar fled from the scene. The police have booked a case under Sections 279/337 and 427 of the Indian Penal Code.

Cheating case registered
Pawan Kumar, a Ludhiana resident, reported to the police that one Bhupinder Singh, who had hired a TATA Sumo HR 01E 9727, from Ludhiana made away with the vehicle last night. The complainant told the police that the accused, who was staying in Hotel Jullundhur, drove away in the vehicle while he was sleeping. The police have registered a case of cheating.

Man hit
Prakshant Kumar, a resident of Kansal village, reportedly hit Ram Hardaya, a resident of Sector 7, near a Temple, in Sector 19. The police have registered a case of accident.
