‘Chak De’ spirit should rule India Inc: Ambani

Describing himself as a Hindi movie buff, Mukesh Ambani said he was impressed by the 'infectious theme' of Chak De.

The Chak De spirit should now pervade the Indian industry after inspiring the spirit of triumph among India players in the international cricket and hockey tournaments, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani said.

Describing himself as a Hindi movie buff, Ambani said he was very much impressed by the “infectious theme”.

While addressing an award ceremony, the business tycoon said that cost effective innovations in science and technology should become the foundation to propel India to new heights of growth and progress.

“The innovative approach in science and technology is the key to bring about qualitative change in the lives of millions of Indians, and to make India a global superpower.”

Ambani was here to present the 12th H K Firodia Awards for Excellence in Science and Technology to eminent Biologist and Ecologist Madhav Gadgil, and to Samir Brahmmachari for his work in the field of Genomics.

A court in Antwerp passed the order initiating the formal process of bringing Choksi back to India. But, he still has options to challenge the order passed by the lower court.
