PUNE, Oct 23: Chain snatchers were on a wild spree on Saturday as two cases, one in Kothrud and the other in Pimpri, were reported during the day.In Kothrud, two persons astride a scooter snatched a chain valued at Rs 7500 from a 66-year old woman Dwarka Pandharinath Singewar, on the road near Ranjil society in Dahanukar colony at around 1.30 pm. Singewar was returning home when the incident occured.In a similar case, a chain valued at Rs 17,500 was snatched from a 70-year old woman Rajlaxmi Ishwaran Iyer, a resident of Ajmera housing society. The two persons who came on a motorcycle followed Iyer and when she was near the staircase, snatched the chain and sped away.
