Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organizing a chief executive officer (CEO) delegation to Japan from March 10-11, 2003 in an effort to further consolidate and build on the ‘Global Partnership’ initiated by the visit of the former PM of Japan Yoshiro Mori to India and the subsequent visit to Japan by Indian PM Vajpayee.The three-fold objective of this mission covers strengthening of Indo-Japanese partnership in both new and old economy sectors, exploring new partnerships between Indian and Japanese companies especially in IT and creating awareness in Japan about the forthcoming India IT Exhibition in Tokyo in June 2003. The mission is being organized by CII as it strongly feels that there are bright opportunities to enhance Indo-Japanese co-operation in the current environment of economic liberalisation in India and the strong focus on global partnerships.
