Pravin Mahajan, accused of murdering his brother and BJP leader, Pramod Mahajan, on Monday denied having killed his brother. Pravin told the Sessions Court, which was recording his evidence that he had come to learn about his brother’s hospitalisation and death only from the newspapers. He also said in the court that his elder brother Pramod brought him up like a father and was affectionate towards him. Also, he denied having asked Rs one crore from Pramod Mahajan.Pravin is accused of gunning down his brother Pramod Mahajan on April 22 last year at the latter’s Worli residence, in central Mumbai. Pravin also denied having sent any threatening SMS to his brother. He, however agreed that he went with pistol to the police station on April 22 last year and identified himself as Pravin Mahajan.
