MUMBAI, APRIL 10: South Mumbai saw two robberies in the space of six hours on Saturday afternoon.In the first case, Iqbal Qasim Mirai, the owner of a transport company, had just got out of the Bank of America at Nariman Point after withdrawing Rs 5 lakh. He was riding back to work on a scooter along with a friend when four unidentified persons on two motorcycles blocked his way at Netaji Subhash Road. Brandishing a revolver, the four snatched the bag carrying the money and made good their escape.A case of robbery has been filed with the Azad Maidan police.Late in the evening, another businessman, whose name has been withheld by police, was seeing off an associate at Byculla railway station in his Tata Sierra, when four men came up behind them in a Maruti Zen, fired a round in the air, and robbed the businessman of Rs 3 lakh. According to the Agripada police, who are looking into the matter, the robbers had followed the businessman from Pydhonie.
