US President George W Bush has assured the G-20 leaders that he would work tirelessly to achieve a ‘seamless’ transition of his administration to the new dispensation of President-elect Barack Obama.
“I told them (world leaders) that we will work tirelessly to make sure the transition between my administration and his administration is seamless,” Bush told newsmen here last night after the G-20 summit on financial crisis.
Obama, who takes office on January 20, stayed away from the summit, but on his behalf former secretary of state Madeleine Albright and ex-Republican lawmaker Jim Leach held meetings with the G-20 delegations, including from India, Britain, China, France, Italy and Japan.
