HYDERABAD, April 10: After losing three wickets for 88 runs, Madhya Pradesh rallied splendidly through the 84-run fourth wicket stand between Devender Bundela (batting 48) and Abbas Ali (batting 54) on the second day of the five-day Ranji Trophy semi-final, here, today.In the morning, Hyderabad were all out for 280 after adding only 43 runs to their overnight score of 237 for seven.Off-spinner Kanwaljit Singh and left-arm spinner Venkatapathy Raju bowled a tight line and length but could not bring enough cheers to the Hyderabad camp.Bundela preferred to play a waiting game while Ali showed signs of aggression occasionally. The left-hander twice cover-drove Kanwaljit to reach a well-deserved 50. MP were given a brisk start by the diminutive CP Sahu (33, 48 b, 7x4). In the morning, MP skipper Chandrakant Pandit had some more tricks in his bag. Much after dismissing overnight batsman Youraj Singh without any addition to the total of 237, with left-arm spinner Manish Majithia taking the wicket in thesecond over, Pandit gave the second new ball (100th over) to Majithia and off-spinner Rajesh Chauhan.
