MALKAPUR, Dec 9: Fed up with the irresponsible attitude of senior officials of various state government departments, Buldana District Guardian Minister Vinod Gudadhe-Patil is now considering quitting the post.

Expressing resentment at the absence of the District Collector, Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad and other senior officials at a meeting held recently to review government schemes, the minister said those who were present could not answer his questions satisfactorily. Gudadhe-Patil said that while he was making all-out efforts to develop the district, concerned government officials and some people’s representatives seemed disinterested. “As a result, I am thinking in terms of quitting the District Guardian Minister’s post,” he said.

He said he had taken note of complaints received against Additional Collector Uday Rathod regarding alleged irregularities in the zunka-bhakar scheme and black marketing of kerosene. “Suitable action will be taken in this regard,” he assured.

He said a few days ago he had stayed the allotment of new zunka-bhakar centres in the district. But Rathod ignored his orders, he alleged and added that more zunka-bhakar centres were set up. Holding Rathod responsible for the artificial shortage and black marketing of kerosene, Gudadhe-Patil said that complaint against Rathod with the state government.
