BANGALORE, August 2: Rashid Byramji-trained Bountiful Treasure who was a smashing winner of his last outing, has the best credentials to win the 1400 metres Royal Calcutta Turf Club Trophy, a race for horses rated 40 and above, the main event of Monday’s races, the additional race day, which brings the curtain down on Bangalore Summer Racing.
The Riyahi-Private Collection three-year old gelding Bountiful Treasure has been kept in fine trim and as such, he should not have any difficulty in containing the challenge of Acute who is in irresistible form.
Bountiful Treasure is considered a classic prospect and his credentials are enhanced if he wins yet again in emphatic fashion. Carbon Copy who has run in better company is capable of causing an upset.
The first race is at 1.30 p.m.
