MUMBAI, JULY 27: Don Bosco, Borivali pipped Don Bosco, Matunga 5-4 to make the semi-final grade in the MSSA-Colgate Inter-School Football under-14 Divison I tournament at the MSSA-Castrol Sports Centre, Azad Maidan on Tuesday.

Other teams who entered the semi-final were St Francis D’Assisi, Borivali, St Mary’s SSC and St Stanislaus, Bandra.

In the under-16 Division II category, Holy Name and St Paul made the last four with contrasting victories at St Xavier’s ground, Parel today. While Holy Name edged out Don Bosco, Matunga B 3-2, St Paul defeated St Francis D’Assisi B 2-0.

A truck cleaner in Navi Mumbai was rescued by the police after being abducted by the father of a sacked IAS officer. The victim was held captive, given stale food, and threatened with murder. The accused demanded compensation for their damaged car and threatened to kill the victim if not paid. The accused have been charged with extortion and destruction of evidence.
