DEC 29: Three-Time Wimbledon champion Boris Becker is asking a Florida court to order his estranged wife to return their two children to Germany, his lawyer has said.His complaint filed Wednesday in Miami cites international treaties on child abduction as justification for his request, his lawyer, Robert Kohlman, said in a statement Thursday.Becker's very public split with Barbara, his wife of seven years, has become an international issue for courts in both Germany and the United States.The 33-year-old former tennis star filed for divorce December 15 in a German court. Barbara Becker, also 33, retaliated by filing for divorce in the United States, seeking custody of the children and alimony.Barbara Becker, the daughter of an American and a German, left Germany soon after the couple announced their separation in November and took the children to their Florida vacation home.The children, Noah Gabriel, 6, and Elias Balthasar, 1, remain in Florida with their mother.News weekly Der Spiegel reported earlier this month that Barbara Becker had registered Noah Gabriel for school in Miami and had kept Boris Becker from seeing his oldest son.
