SO what if Mona Chopra’s debut Time Pass flopped? The (next) new siren on the block says it taught her a lot about ‘‘the technical aspects’’ of cinema. Her latest, Naughty Boy, is a sex comedy where she’s the object of desire—for three men. ‘‘I like playing with the minds of people—whether it’s by titillating them, making them laugh or cry,’’ says the 23-year-old hottie from Hyderabad, who aims to win an Oscar and do roles that give her creative satisfaction. Like most bootylicious ones, she swears by minimalism. ‘‘Every time my designer Nahid brings me long, boring clothes, I ask her to cut them short and put lots of slits.’’ Up next is a desi take on Sex, Lies and Videotape titled Ishq, Jurm and Videotape, where she’s a ‘‘hot and stern’’ cop, and Red Swastik, a remake of Monster that has her playing a killer. an Oscar for that.
