CALCUTTA, JULY 10: The Rs 952 crore Bombay Dyeing and Manufacturing Company Limited of Nusli N Wadia has decided to dispose of its Roha processing plant in Raigad district of Maharashtra and Jamnagar spinning plant in Gujarat. The decision to dispose of the processing unit at Raigad was taken as it had remained substantially under-utilised on account of operational and other reasons and high cost of power coupled with under-utilised capacity had made the unit unable to provide a reasonable return on the capital employed in it, sources said. The reserve price for sale had been fixed at Rs 3.34 crore and in case of lease for an annual lease rental it would not be less than 0.50 crore, sources added. Incidentally in 1979-80, the company had expanded its textile processing capacity by adding a new processing unit with bleaching, dyeing and finishing facilities at Roha, sources added. Top
