Bomb wrecks Jerusalem bus, 15 dead

A suicide bomber blew up a bus in West Jerusalem on Tuesday and Israel radio and other media said at least 15 people had been killed and 100 wounded, including children.

‘‘The suicide bomber blew up in the centre of the bus. We are talking about a big bomb and there is a large number of casualties,” Jerusalem police chief Mickey Levy told Israel Radio. Meanwhile, Hizbollah TV said Islamic Jihad had claimed responsibility for the bombing.

The explosion devastated the bus in an ultra-Orthodox Jewish neighbourhood and damaged another bus.
