Bomb scare at the Kolkata airport

Three unclaimed bags triggered bomb scare at different hours at the NSC Bose International Airport in Kolkata on Sunday, airport sources said.

In the morning, two bags were found abandoned at the domestic terminal. The owner of one of the bags was identified as a passenger from Guwahati. However, no explosive was found.

Similarly, a black suitcase was found near a toilet of the international lounge around noon. The bomb disposal squad found that it contained nothing but a few clothes and a passport.

Though the owner is identified as one Ranavijay Jadav from Uttar Pradesh, none has turned up to claim the bag.

As per the details on the passport, the suitcase belongs to a Bangkok-bound passenger.
