SAS NAGAR, AUG 31: In a minor fire incident here today, the Punjab State Electricity Board, 220 kv, sub-station in Phase VII, caught fire.
According to fire officials, the grass near the sub-station caught fire and they reached the site immediately and it took four fire tenders to extinguish the blaze.

The cause of the fire is not known. Sources, however, claimed that if it was not brought under control by the fire tenders, it might have spread to the adjacent power station bulding and caused a massive loss to life and property.
