VADODARA, Aug 29: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), as part of its election campaign, held rallies in some parts of the city on Sunday.

A BJP release said that election meetings were held in Warasia in which a large number of party workers participated. The release added that meetings were also being held in other localities of the city, and the workers were actively campaigning for the BJP candidate from the Vadodara constituency, Jayaben Thakkar.

The party would also organise a series of programmes on Monday. Thakkar, along with senior party leader Nalin Bhatt, would address election rallies at Mahadev chowk, Navidarti, Salatwada and Sama road areas. She would also address public meetings in the rural areas including Chapripan and Laxmipura.
