Pardeep Jain, in a press conference, said that the women were holding “virodh pradarshan”. He said he and his party had nothing to do with it. They demanded that patrolling should be introduced in the area to make the residents feel secure.

Pardeep said he happened to reach there as his house was near Dass’ house. He said that he pacified the women in the presence of the SHO.But the Minister had some misunderstanding, Pardeep said. He said the DIG (police) Deputy Commissioner, SSP and SDM made enquiries and left the place after they were satisfied that it was not his work.

Later, the police arrested Mahipal and Sandeep, sons of Hawa Singh, a BJP activist. He said the administration had been warned to release them. Pardeep alleged that the police wanted to implicate them in a false case.
