A month after a revolt in the party and removal of its leader in the Lok Sabha, a truncated Biju Janata Dal (BJD) parliamentary party met today and re-elected Arjun Sethi as its leader ahead of the winter session of Parliament beginning tomorrow.
‘‘We have decided unanimously that in the Rajya Sabha, the leader of the BJD will be B.J. Panda, whip will be Vir Bhadra Singh, Arjun Sethi will be the BJD leader in the Lok Sabha and also leader of the parliamentary party, while Brij Kishore Tripathy will be the whip and Padmanabh Behra secretary in the Lok Sabha,’’ Chief Minister and BJD chief Naveen Patnaik said after a meeting of BJD parliamentary members.
