NEW DELHI, DEC 20: The Union Minister for food processing, Dilip Ray, who announced his decision to quit the ministry after the split in the Orissa unit of Janata Dal, today met the Prime Minister, I K Gujral, and offered to resign.

Talking to reporters at the Election Commission office after submitting documents for the registration of the newly formed Biju Janata Dal, Ray said a decision in this regard would be taken by the Prime Minister on Tuesday. Replying to questions, Ray said his party would have an electoral tie-up with the BJP, a final decision on which would have to be worked out, he said.
