NEW DELHI, FEB 10: Expelled Biju Janata Dal (BJD) leader Bijoy Mohapatra has moved the Election Commission against the decision of the returning officer of Patkura constituency rejecting his nomination for contesting the Assembly elections in Orissa.Commission sources said Mohapatra had filed a petition on Wednesday seeking that his papers be allowed.Mohapatra, who revolted against party president and Union Minister for Mines and Minerals Naveen Patnaik leading to his expulsion from the party, had filed his papers for Patkura seat as BJD's official candidate. However, Patnaik withdrew the authorisation minutes before close of nomination and substituted him with another candidate which was accepted by the returning officer.Mohapatra's papers were rejected because they did not have requisite number of proposers.
