December 6: Kochi - Apollo Tyres Limited, one of the biggest private sector undertakings in Kerala, declared a lockout in its Perambra factory from today following indefinite strike by a section of the workmen.According to a press release from the Apollo Tyres, workmen in the electrical, electronics, winding shop and instrumentation sections in the factory have resorted to an `illegal lightning strike' without notice since Nov 30.
