MUMBAI: The net profit of BASF India has dropped to Rs 16.17 crore during the year ended March 1997 from Rs 20.09 crore last year mainly due to higher interest of Rs 21.85 crore (Rs 10.62 crore). Income during the year amounted to Rs 271.02 crore (Rs 243.97 crore). The profit before tax declined to Rs 15.27 crore (Rs 22.39 crore). The directors have recommended a dividend of 30 %.Tata HoneywellMUMBAI: The directors of Tata Honeywell have maintained the dividend at 20 % for the year ended March 1997. Sales and other income during the year amounted to Rs 167.24 crore (Rs 161.38 crore) and it earned a higher gross profit of Rs 9.63 crore (Rs 5.02 crore). The net profit is also higher at Rs 3.87 crore against Rs 2.98 crore. Max TouchMUMBAI: The net profit of Max India has dropped to Rs 8.3 crore during the year ended March 1997 from Rs 12 crore last year. Sales amounted to Rs 113.4 crore (same) and profit before depreciation Rs 16.8 crore (Rs 18.9 crore). A dividend of 35 % has been recommended.
