Drish Infotech has joined hands with Pentafour to set up Pentasoft Centre of Excellence in Chandigarh to high-end training on IBM AS/400 computer, internet, e-commerce and multimedia. The new centre was inaugurated today by Ramesh Inder Singh, principal secretary to the Chief Minister of Punjab. M. Varadarajan, head of operations, Pentafour Communications Ltd, said the centre, the first to be set up north of Delhi, will provide training to computer engineers and MCAs to help upgrade their, skills to find employment abroad. There are nearly 450,000 AS/400, which is a high-end application server, installations all across the world. Of these, only 400 are installed in India. The company has 65 training centre spread all across the country, he added. Pentafour, which is the second largest export of software in India, is the number one partner firm of IBM for the last two years.
