Lawyers across Bihar observed a strike on Thursday in protest against the murder of government lawyer Ram Naresh Sharma in Begusarai last week.The strike was called by the State Bar Council to press for the arrest of those responsible for the murder and also to demand safety and security of the lawyers. Reports said over 80,000 lawyers from different courts and even central administrative tribunals went on strike. Responding to the demand of the lawyers, Additional DG (law and Order) Anil Sinha said the Government has decided to beef up security of all judges and government lawyers involved in speedy trial of criminal cases.
