Irked by the truancy of Magadh University Vice-Chancellor Abhimanyu Singh, Bihar Governor M. Rama Jois has seized his powers until he shifts residence from the state capital to University headquarters at Bodh Gaya.

Raj Bhavan sources said here today that under instruction from the Governor, his Principal Secretary R.J.M. Pillai has written to the Registrar to take his orders from the Pro-Vice Chancellor until the Vice-Chancellor shifts residence to Bodh Gaya.

In a stern warning to Pakistan, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi on Friday said the neighbouring country must stop sponsoring terrorism if it wants to retain its place on the world map.
