Mahesh Bhupathi joined compatriot Leander Paes in the doubles quarter-finals of the $3,589,000 men’s Masters Series event after winning the second round along with Mark Knowles in straight sets at Indian Wells, California. The sixth seeded Indo-Bahamas pair defeated Nikolay Davydenko of Russia and Nicolas Kiefer of Germany 6-3 6-4, last night. Paes and his Australian partner Paul Hanley, seeded eighth, will take on Daniel Nestor of Canada and Nenad Zimonjic of Serbia in the quarter-final.
